Activision stated on their anti-cheat blog post – ricocheat that only PC users are required to attach a phone number to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer.

However, players do not need to do anything if they have previously played Activision’s Warzone in 2020.
CoD MW2 Multiplayer New Zealand Release Date And Time
The NZ PSN store confirmed the New Zealand release date and time countdown for CoD MW2 2022 multiplayer as 00:00 NZDT, October 28.
This means CoD MW2 fans in the US and UK, will be able to access the game in 04:00 PT, 07:00 ET, and 12:00 BST on October 27.

CoD MW2 2022 fans can obtain and play the early access multiplayer mode by using the New Zealand release date and time trick.

However, this only works if you’ve pre-ordered and preloaded on Xbox. Fans can follow the simple steps below:
- Select Settings
- Click System
- Proceed to Language and Location
- Change Location to New Zealand
- Reset Xbox console
Besides the Xbox trick, there is also a NZ release date trick for PlayStation too. However, players won’t find the trick practical since they would have to create a separate NZ Profile.
