Fishbowl Wives Ending Explained Manga, Season 2 Netflix Details, Episodes, Cast, Story

Know what is the Fishbowl Wives Netflix show, its manga ending explained and when will the episodes of season 2 come out

Fishbowl Wives has an unusual structure in that it features a central plotline but also multiple different characters and subplots that are metaphorically – through the image of a goldfish in a bowl, or sometimes literally – or blatantly linked. Despite the continuity of the material — almost all of the stories are about relationships breaking down, frequently due to adultery – the tone of the stories varies significantly, making it difficult to tie everything together. There’s also the fact that the Season 1 finale, titled “The Fishbowl Wives,” doesn’t exactly wrap things off neatly.

But there’s still a lot to unpack in the first season, so let’s start there.

Fishbowl Wives Manga Ending Explained And Story

Despite the fact that the show revolves around several characters and relationships, the show’s central triangular dynamic is between Sakura, a meek woman who has settled as an abused housewife, her abusive husband Takuya, and the kindly pet shop owner Haruto, who introduces Sakura to a simple goldfish. That fish, locked in a little amount of water within an impenetrable bowl, quickly becomes a metaphor for all the women in the series.

Takuya Hiraga (Masanobu Ando) is having sex in his Tokyo high-rise apartment, but the woman is not his wife Sakura (Ryoko Shinohara), who is entering the building as we view this passionate shower scene.

Sakura, it turns out, is unaware of the illegal affair since she is too preoccupied with preparing for her birthday party elsewhere in the building. It’s been reported that she only invited those who lived above the 30th level, and there’s been the typical rumormongering among her “friends.”

A fortune teller informs Sakura and her pals that they must locate their “twin ray,” or the other half of their soul, at the party, but Sakura claims she has already done so. She also recommends that women who wish to start a family purchase a goldfish to show themselves and their partners that they are capable of caring for a pet.

Fishbowl Wives Season 1 Episodes, Season 2 Release Date

The show aired on February 14, 2022, on Netflix and it includes a total of eight episodes running for 38-51 minutes each. While there is currently no information on the release date of season 2, it looks unlikely as per the manga story.
