James Jaronczyk, a speedboat racer from Long Island, was found dead in Great South Bay following a four-day search by neighborhood marine workers, friends, and family.
The 28-year-old racer sadly lost his life when his boat ran into a large wave. An emotional Facebook post from Village of Babylon authorities on May 11 informed followers of the grim announcement that the Suffolk County marine rescue team had discovered him just west of the Village Pool.

James Jaronczyk was an American speedboat racer. He has been in the news because he was found dead in Great South Bay following a four-day search.

He was a native of Massapequa, New York. His mother’s name is Roseanne, and his father’s name is Joe Jaronczyk. He has two siblings named Amanda and Joseph.
He was well known for his boating prowess and his love of fishing. James Jaronczyk was known to be an expert racing boat pilot, a fervent fan of the game, and an experienced fisherman. At the time of his death, he was 28 years old.
