JI-hun leaves the building to confront Choi Ki-Seok, head of JQ Group, who he believes killed his dad. After making the relatively unexpected choice to take part in the auction, Ji-hun approaches Min-Chul for a “discussion,” and this time, he nearly stabs him before remembering Ju-Yeong and realizing that she definitely wouldn’t appreciate his behavior.
Ji-hun puts the new murder suspects from that evening on his crime wall at home. The following morning, Mari and Mu-Jang consider ways to assist Ji-hun with the huge wager he made the previous evening. Ji-hun questions Ma-ri about what she would do if the man she most liked committed a heinous act when he visits the legal office. Ji-hun seemed to be slightly pleased by her response. Ji-hun then visits Ju-Yeong’s grave while carrying a gloomy expression.

Strangely enough, the following morning Ji-hun disappears silently, leaving just a message for Mu-Jang and a note for Ma-ri. She first doesn’t believe him, but she soon becomes devastated when she realizes that it is true.
