Although the shocking news of police officers beating the 29-year-old to death has left a shock wave around the world, so far, the reason behind the assault remains a mystery.

However, social media users now think that the victim was having an affair with the ex-wife and new mother of one of the Police officers.
If you’re unfamiliar with the situation, let us tell you, as per the statement given by Memphis Police department, Nichols was pulled over for reckless driving on the evening of January 7. At the time, Tyre was coming home.
He was pummeled by 5 police officials as he sought to escape from them. The victim was seen on bodycam being kicked, punched in the head, pepper sprayed, tasered and repeatedly smacked with a baton.
He succumbed to his injuries three days after being admitted to hospital. Though authorities have fired these 5 police officers, Justin Smith, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., Tadarrius Bean, and Demetrius Haley.
They are also being charged with second degree murder and aggravated assault in the beating of Tyre Nichols.
Apart from these 5 officers, two more Memphis police officers have been disciplined and 3 emergency responders have been fired in connection with Nichols’ death.
As per a report by CBS News, the 29-year-old victim was employed at FedEx and some online users speculated that he was dating the ex-wife of accused police officer Demetrius Haley, who’s presently out on bond.

The tweet came into lime-light after a Twitter user who goes by the name @sirmaejor, penned down, “BREAKING NEWS: I am being told that Tyre Nichols was in a relationship with and worked at a Memphis @FedEx with #MemphisPolice Demetrius Haleys’ ex-girlfriend & baby mama.”
The platform user claimed that Tyre was dating the ex-girlfriend of a cop but other users indicated that she was actually the officer’s ex-wife.
One social media user claimed that Tyre was photographed by Haley who later “gave it to his baby mama,” after assaulting Nichols.
Another user who goes by the name @LisaCampbell102 added to these rumors that, “I did some investigating into the #TyreNicols Murder and felt something was off.
“I was right I’m being told that #TyreNicols Murder was personal (which I felt) and he was sleeping with one of his murders wife ‘Demetrius Haley’ Tyre & the Officer wide worked at FedEx 2Gather!”
Though as of now it’s unclear whether it is true or whether it was Haley’s ex-wife or ex-girlfriend but social media users appear to be confident that Tyre had a relationship with the woman.
Let us remind you, the victim had a 4-year-old son and worked for FedEx. He often worked the second shift then took his evening meal at his mother’s place at around 7 every day.
Nichols reportedly also ran his own photography website where he spoke about how cameras helped him “look at the world in a more creative way.”
