Swinkowski resigned from her position and surrendered to authorities last Monday, securing release on a $50,000 bond. Experts, including former FBI Special Agent and CIA Officer Tracy Walder, suggest that an increasing number of such cases may stem from individuals entering teaching roles at a young age, possibly driven by a desire for power over students.

Speaking with Law & Crime, Tracy Walder, a former FBI Special Agent and CIA Officer, raised the question of whether the thrill of exerting power over individuals is a motivating factor in such cases, describing it as “pretty gross.”

Having also worked as a teacher, Walder expressed her bewilderment on the matter during an interview on the outlet’s YouTube channel, stating, “I even teach college, and it has never occurred to me to do something like that, literally ever.”

Adding a darker perspective, she commented, “I think some people are getting into the job to be predators; it’s frustrating – I don’t think everyone is, because I’m a teacher myself, and I don’t want teachers to be attacked.”

Jessica Lawson Case

The case of Jessica Lawson, a 36-year-old teacher from Arizona, adds to the alarming trend. Lawson, who taught at South Fremont High School, faced legal issues when a teenage boy she allowed to drive her car was stopped for a traffic violation.

Subsequent investigations revealed allegations of s*xual activity between Lawson and the underage student, involving alcohol and drugs. Lawson admitted to some aspects of the accusations, acknowledging providing alcohol to the teen but denying certain allegations, including any s*xual misconduct.

These incidents contribute to the ongoing concerns about inappropriate relationships between educators and students across the United States.

In another news, earlier, when her spouse was abroad, a 24-year-old Missouri teacher allegedly invited a 16-year-old student to her house for s*x and they exchanged n*de photos.

St. James High School teacher Rikki Lynn Laughlin was accused of sending the teenager pictures and a video of her using a d*ldo on Snapchat and asking him for pictures of his g*nitalia.
