A fight started between Haraldur Thorleifsson, a disabled Twitter worker, and Elon Musk, the owner of the social media site, know Haraldur’s net worth

Thorleifsson said that he and about 200 other Twitter employees had no longer been able to use their work computers. But Musk fought back by questioning Thorleifsson’s work and saying that he was rich and not working because he had a disability.

Thorleifsson tweeted at Musk on March 6 and asked if he had been fired because he couldn’t get to his work computer. “Dear @elonmusk, Nine days ago, I and about 200 other Twitter employees lost access to our work computers. But your head of HR can’t say for sure if I work for you or not. You haven’t replied to any of my emails. If enough people retweet this, maybe you’ll answer?”

Hi again @elonmusk 👋

I hope you are well.

I’m fine too. I’m thankful for your interest in my health.

But since you mentioned it, I wanted to give you more info.

I have muscular dystrophy. It has many effects on my body.

Let me tell you what they are: https://t.co/2vb16kP6Yv

Musk replied by asking Haraldur Thorleifsson to explain what work he had been doing for Twitter. Thorleifsson said that he had worked on design projects that were still going on.

The reality is that this guy (who is independently wealthy) did no actual work, claimed as his excuse that he had a disability that prevented him from typing, yet was simultaneously tweeting up a storm.

Can’t say I have a lot of respect for that.

When people on Twitter started to talk about the tweets, Musk wrote: “The reality is that this guy (who is independently wealthy) did no actual work, claimed as his excuse that he had a disability that prevented him from typing, yet was simultaneously tweeting up a storm. Can’t say I have a lot of respect for that.”

Elon Musk describes Haraldur Thorleifsson wealthy and prominent

Musk went on to say that Thorleifsson is rich and has a “prominent, active Twitter account and is wealthy”. “The reason he confronted me in public was to get a big payout,” the Twitter owner said. “From what I’ve been told, he’s done almost no work for the past four months, middle-management or otherwise.”

But that wasn’t the end of the story. Thorleifsson replied again and said that he asked Musk in public because no one at Twitter was answering his private messages. He said that Musk had “every right” to fire him, but he would have liked to know.

Musk is always on a lookout to tweet something controversial

Elon Musk is known for getting into fights with people on Twitter all the time. He has done this with everyone from other billionaires to regular Twitter users. Musk’s willingness to fight online has gotten him a lot of criticism, with some saying that he shouldn’t act that way as a CEO.

Musk has kept using Twitter to air his grievances, despite the backlash. His online fights have only made his already controversial public image even more so. Some of Musk’s fights have been about his personal life, but others have had real-world effects, like when he got in trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission for tweeting about Tesla’s stock price.
